An amazing video clip of Third Street Studio.
Third Street Studio
This is the space where I created the majority of my body of art work. I lived and worked in this studio in West Berkeley from 2000 to 2003, went to graduate Art school in Massachusetts to get my MFA in sculpture, returned in 2005 and continued to work in this studio making art while I was a Museum tech at Oakland Art Museum of California and Berkeley Art Museum. I met the partner of my life at one of my art studio openings in this space. We married in 2008 and our daughter was born in 2009. The land was sold, the buildings slated to be torn down, I packed up the studio and left in 2010 and in February 2012 it was torn down.
The freight trains went by this studio every day, the building would shake.
We sat on the roof and watched amazing sunsets.
We danced, we performed, we had art openings and events.
We worked hard.
We took baths in the clawfoot bathtub inside.
I made really big art!
I filled the space with my endless imagination and my collection of curious objects.Close up of a live performance while at Nebraska Art Farm
