My mom said, "for every page you write in your journal, I will give you a quarter." I think that is when I started to keep a journal, I was 9 or 10 at the time. That journaling, later in life became my sketchbooks that reflected my art exploration as an undergraduate artist and later as a graduate MFA sculpture artist and now as a mental health clinician, a licensed social worker. I am a therapist and I am an artist. I explore all possible expressions, so I am a multi-media artist. I have worked/studied in photography, performance, sculpture, painting, movement/theater and film. And I have many sketchbooks, accumulated year after year. Some are stored on a book shelf in my room, some stored now in my studio in a drawer, hidden away. I will use this gallery space to begin to take a peek at my past sketches, thoughts, doodles, and ideas, to display them, to reflect and to highlight my learning and my curiosity!
